Dubrovnik, 30 June – In the framework of the SEECP Summit, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, held a meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov as they discussed about the possibility of deepening the cooperation between the two countries.
President Thaçi thanked Prime Minister Borisov for the support Bulgaria has given to Kosovo in strengthening international subjectivity and in the process of European integration.
In this meeting was also discussed about the expansion of economic cooperation, trade exchange and the strengthening of cooperation in education and culture.
On the other hand, Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov reaffirmed Bulgaria's support for Kosovo and backed the proposal for Kosovo to head SEECP in 2019.
During the day, President Thaçi, along with his counterparts from the region, participated in the SEECP Summit where was once again was urged to accelerate the process of EU membership of the countries of the region.
