President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today at a meeting the Ambassador of Sweden to the Republic of Macedonia, accredited to Kosovo on non-residential basis, Mats Staffansson.
President Thaçi said that the entry into force of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement had a positive impact on the political dialogue within Kosovo, as all parties of the political spectrum gathered to discuss the implementation of the SAA.
“Now we are awaiting the recommendation for visa liberalization”, President Thaçi said, adding that “the priorities of my presidency will be the rule of law, economic development and the democratic functioning of state institutions”.
The Ambassador of Sweden, accredited to Kosovo on non-residential basis, Mats Staffansson, congratulated President Thaçi as Kosovo has overcome political tensions and added that attention must now turn to strengthening the institutions of Kosovo.
Presidenti Thaçi vowed to work for the promotion and enhancing of regional cooperation, that he will support the dialogue with Serbia and the constructive dialogue with the European Union.
