September 11, 2016 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has traveled to Canada, where he will participate at the 10th jubilee edition of the International Economic Forum “Toronto Global Forum”, which will start its proceedings tomorrow, on September 12th.
President Thaçi will also be part of the panel “Harnessing the Potential of Emerging Middle-Class Markets”.
The Toronto Global Forum is an international conference which promotes dialogue on national and global issues. This forum is held under the auspices of the International Economic Forum of the American continent (IEFA). IEFA organizes annual summits where heads of state, governors of central banks, ministers and global economic decision makers gather.
The forum also provides exclusive opportunities for business meetings aiming to promote partnerships between large Canadian corporations and international ones.
International business and policy leaders, including the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, will be present in Toronto to discuss about the possibilities of developing an era of economic, social and political evolution.
Entitled “Leading in uncertain times”, the forum will address a wide range of international issues, including economic growth, modern technology, infrastructure development, geopolitics, the new map of world energy, changing lines of global trade, and the new era of production.
The Toronto Global Forum, presented by the company Cogeco Peer, will gather over 130 speakers and 2,600 delegates from over 40 countries. The participants will discuss about how to better respond to today’s more acute economic challenges.
The participants will include leading personalities from the business world, heads of state, as well as numerous representatives of governments, international organizations and civil society.
