President Thaçi met in New York with the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Pllenković

New York, September 20, 2017 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi conducted a working meeting today in New York with the Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Pllenković.

President Thaçi said that Kosovo is thankful and grateful to Croatia for the extraordinary assistance for Kosovo’s state-building, the strengthening of democracy, the ensurement of a secure future on the Euro-Atlantic path.

“For us, Croatia, as a member of the EU and NATO, is among the key regional actors and is a strategic partner of Kosovo in its joint efforts to strengthen stability and peace in the region. Kosovo is committed to the main objective of its foreign policy, namely the full membership into the EU and NATO”, said President Thaçi during the meeting.

The Head of State said that Kosovo, with Croatia, shares common views on the developments in the region, particularly on the Euro-Atlantic orientation and the facing of security challenges.

President Thaçi thanked the Prime Minister of Croatia for the continued support of the Croatian state for strengthening Kosovo’s international subjectivity, including membership into international organizations.
