Prishtina, March 8, 2017 – President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Andrew Russell, who is also the the United Nations Development Program Coordinator, with whom he discussed the work of UNDP in Kosovo.
The head of state thanked the guest for UNDP's engagement in the country.
Mr. Russell stressed that UNDP supports the initiative for the establishment of the Commission for Truth and Reconciliation and expressed his willingness that UNDP provide its expertise in this regard.
President Thaçi stated that the commission will be local, but that the international support is welcome, especially with the experiences from other similar cases around the world.
“We are open for cooperation,” concluded President Thaçi.
