The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, and the Minister of International Trade of Canada, François-Philippe Champagne, have pledged today that Kosovo and Canada will soon have an Investment Protection Agreement between our two countries, signing the Letter of Good Intent, which precedes this agreement.
President Thaçi has said that bilateral cooperation between Kosovo and Canada is growing, especially in economy, with particular emphasis on the mining field.
Whereas, Canada’s International Trade Minister François-Philippe Champagne has said that the Investment Protection Agreement will have great importance for every potential investment in Kosovo.
President Thaçi and the Canadian Minister, François-Philippe Champagne, have also talked about the reforms made in the Kosovo economy, where the confirmation of the success in these reforms is the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union, as well as Kosovo’s accession to the program of the US Congress Millennium Challenge Corporation.
President Thaçi has said that the Canadian investments are very important for Kosovo’s economy.
