The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Justina Shiroka Pula, has received a congratulatory message from King Charles III of the United Kingdom, on the occasion of her election to office.
In his message, King Charles III, joined by his wife, extended his sincere congratulations to President Shiroka Pula. He highlighted the close and enduring friendship between the United Kingdom and Kosovo—a relationship rooted in shared values and strengthened over the years through partnership.
The King recalled his first visit to Kosovo in 1999, immediately following the end of the war, as well as his 2016 visit, during which he and his wife attended an exhibition in Prizren featuring the works of President Shiroka Pula’s late father.
In the message, he emphasized that the United Kingdom and Kosovo will continue to work together to support security and stability in Europe, at a time when the world faces significant geopolitical and climate-related challenges. King Charles III expressed the wish that, during President Shiroka Pula’s term, the ties between the two countries be further deepened, while conveying his best wishes to the President and the people of Kosovo.
