The President of Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu, received today a delegation of Mothers Appeal Association, headed by Mrs. Nysrete Kumnova. The meeting, which was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Ramë Manaj and the Minister of Justice, Mrs. Nekibe Kelmendi, discussed country’s institutional efforts to shed light on the fate of missing persons, especially on those that await identification following scientific analyses on remains stored at Prishtina morgue.
President Sejdiu said efforts by Republic of Kosovo’s institutions have never and will never cease their efforts to elucidate the fate of each person that has gone missing during the last war in Kosovo.
“Unfortunately, identification of remains is not an easy process, but institutions of Kosovo are doing their best to speed it up” – President Sejdiu said.
On the other hand, the Deputy Prime Minister Manaj said that identification is going on and introduced some concrete data on identifications made so far.
During the meeting, the Leader of Mothers Appeal Association, Mrs. Nysrete Kumnova, presented association’s activities and urged Republic of Kosovo’s institutions to keep on exerting pressure on international institutions to renew their efforts in finding all the people that have gone missing during the last war in Kosovo.
