The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani commenced today her two-day official visit to Croatia, where she was received with the highest state honors by the President of Croatia Zoran Milanović.
At the meeting with President Milanović, President Osmani thanked Croatia for its support to Kosovo during all the state building stages. President Osmani emphasized that Croatia is a friend and ally of Kosovo in the region and in the Euro-Atlantic structures, and that the two countries have excellent relations. In this function, according to President Osmani, the Albanian community in Croatia and the Croatian community in Kosovo are a powerful connecting bridge between the two countries.
President Osmani also informed her counterpart Milanović on the terrorist attack and Serbia’s act of aggression against Kosovo, coordination with allies and the international security presence in Kosovo, and also discussed the expansion of cooperation in order to overcome the security challenges.
According to President Osmani, the people and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo are committed to peace, stability and security in the country and in the region. President Osmani also reiterated Kosovo’s aim for membership in the Euro-Atlantic structures, and assessed the support by Croatia as important in the successful completion of all of the integrative processes.
President Osmani and President Milanović, also discussed and expressed the willingness to increase cooperation in the field of foreign policy, defense, economy, as well as other spheres of mutual interest.
