The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, as part of the traditional manifestation “Mother Teresa Days”, together with the director of the Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of the Albanians – Skopje, Skënder Asani and Mother Teresa’s biographer Dom Lush Gjergji, planted today in the courtyard of the Presidency of Kosovo a fir tree with the seeds of the destroyed Mother Teresa’s fir tree.
“This fir tree, planted today, symbolizes the testimony of Mother Teresa’s work in service of humanity, her will to serve. Mother Teresa always found the strength to turn her pain, that of her people and all those who suffer, into love for humanity, into hard work in the service of the poor, even, as she said it herself, in the service of the poorest among the poor,” said President Osmani
The director of the Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of the Albanians-Skopje Skënder Asani, said that the fir tree dedicated to Mother Teresa symbolizes the connection between people, nations and countries. Her example in the service of humanity is the best model we can ever know.
