The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu has received congratulatory telegrams from the Italian President Sergio Mattarella, the EU Foreign Policy Chief, Josep Borrell, the President of Albania, Ilir Meta, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović and the President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski.
In his congratulatory message, the Italian President Mr. Matarella, expressed the hope that under the leadership of President Osmani, Kosovo will be able to take concrete steps in internal reforms, which bring it closer to the EU. The Italian President has also expressed the wish for the cooperation between Prishtina and Rome to increase and further in line with the Italian commitment to Kosovo, in which case he mentioned the significant participation of Italy in the KFOR mission.
While the Head of EU Foreign Policy, Mr. Borrell, has shown readiness to support Kosovo on the path of European integration and at the same time stressed that the new institutions of the country remain to focus on the reform process and that of dialogue.
President Meta, in his greeting, emphasized that President Osmani will serve with great responsibility to the unity among all citizens, the spirit of consensus, dialogue, the strengthening of inter-institutional cooperation and excellent fraternal relations.
Turkish President Erdoğan in his telegram expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and Turkey in various fields, expressing full confidence in the future of relations between the two countries.
Her counterpart from North Macedonia, President Pendarovski, has expressed readiness to continue good neighborly relations. Whereas, the Montenegrin President Đukanović said in his telegram that with President Osmani at the helm, Kosovo will constitute a new era for the Kosovar state and society. According to him, Montenegro will be a good neighbor of Kosovo and a responsible partner.
