The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the UK Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves.
The latest political developments in the country and the holding of early elections were discussed at the meeting. Madam President reiterated the importance of the proper conduct of the electoral process and the respect of the highest democratic standards.
President Osmani reaffirmed the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to advance bilateral cooperation with the United Kingdom, especially in the fields of security, defense, economy, trade and human rights, and expressed her gratitude for the continued support provided to Kosovo and its citizens.
Preparations to advance Madam President’s initiative to conclude a strategic agreement with the United Kingdom, as discussed with the UK Foreign Secretary during his visit to Kosovo, were also discussed.
