The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, Hadja Lahbib.
At the meeting, President Osmani thanked Belgium for the support for Kosovo’s integration into the European Union, as well as the support offered for membership in the Council of Europe and the visa liberalization process.
President Osmani also expressed her felicitations to the state of Belgium on increasing the diplomatic level of interstate relations with the opening of the Embassy in Pristina.
According to President Osmani, Kosovo is interested in expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy, trade and investments, as well as cooperation agreement in the fields of security and defense.
President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo’s expat community in Belgium plays an important role in promoting relations between the two countries.
President Osmani informed Minister Lahbib during the meeting about the latest political and security developments in Kosovo, especially regarding the September 24th aggression of Serbia towards Kosovo and the need to address its responsibility for the destabilization of Kosovo and the region.
