The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in a farewell meeting the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Kosovo, Mr. Matti Nissinen, on the occasion of the termination of his diplomatic mandate to our country.
President Osmani expressed her deep gratitude for Ambassador Nissinen’s extraordinary contribution in strengthening of relations between Kosovo and Finland. She emphasized that his continuous engagement has played a key role in bringing the two countries even closer together and in creating a sustainable partnership, based on shared democratic values and a shared vision for the future.
In this context, Madam President particularly appreciated the bilateral visit to Finland, which she described as an important moment in bilateral relations and a concrete demonstration of friendship and mutual respect between the two countries.
During the meeting, Madam President reiterated her gratitude for Finland’s continued support to Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic path. recent developments in the country, including the constitution of new institutions were also discussed at the meeting.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Osmani thanked Ambassador Nissinen for the fruitful cooperation and dignified representation of the Finnish state and people in Kosovo, wishing him continued success in all his future endeavours.
