President Osmani received the credentials of the ambassador of Türkiye, Sabri Tunç Angılı

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani today received the credentials of the newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Kosovo Sabri Tunç Angılı, to whom she bid a warm welcome to our country.

At the meeting with the new ambassador of Türkiye, President Osmani discussed the excellent relations between our two countries and expressed the determination of the institutions of the Republic to further expand bilateral relations and cooperation in the international arena.

At the same time, President Osmani also spoke of the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye which resulted in thousands of victims, and in this context emphasized that the people of Kosovo continue to stand in solidarity with the people of Türkiye at these challenging times, as the Kosovar institutions continue to support the efforts of the Turkish authorities to surmount the consequences of this tragedy.

President Osmani also discussed with Ambassador Angılı the expansion of economic cooperation and the potential for the increase of cooperation in other spheres of mutual interest. On the topic of current political and security developments, President Osmani emphasized that the institutions of the Republic continue to remain committed to lasting peace and stability.

Among other things, Ambassador Angılı reiterated Turkey’s steadfast support for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe and other international organizations.
