The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the credential letters of Estonia’s new Ambassador to Kosovo, Karin Anna Maandi.
On this occasion, President Osmani extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Maandi and congratulated her on her appointment, voicing her confidence that her mandate will play an important role in further deepening and strengthening relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Estonia.
President Osmani expressed her profound appreciation for Estonia’s steadfast, principled and outspoken support for Kosovo’s independence, sovereignty and the enhancement of its international profile, highlighting that Kosovo has consistently aligned its policies with those of the European Union.
In addition, President Osmani and Ambassador Maandi discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation with Estonia in areas such as defense, digital transformation, electronic public services, cybersecurity, Euro-Atlantic integration and other areas of mutual interest.
On matters of regional security and stability, President Osmani reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to peace, security and stability in the Western Balkans, while expressing gratitude to Estonia for its contribution to European security.
In this context, she further expressed gratitude to Estonia for its continuous support and advocacy of Kosovo’s European aspirations, especially concerning its EU candidate status and accession to the Council of Europe.
