The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received today the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy to Kosovo, Ms. Anu Prattipati.
The latest developments in the country, the security situation in Kosovo and the region, as well as the steps forward towards the formation of the government were discussed at the meeting. The conversation also focused on concrete engagements following recent visits to Kosovo, including those of the NATO Secretary General, the EU Special Representative for Dialogue, visits by US military representatives, and the visit of the President of Latvia, which took place today.
The deepening of cooperation between Kosovo and the United States of America, in accordance with the objectives set by President Donald Trump and his administration, were also a point of discussion. President Osmani and Ms. Prattipati focused particularly on expanding economic cooperation and strengthening the partnership in the field of defense.
The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of close relations between Kosovo and the United States and the engagement to the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
