The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the chairman of the Central Electoral Commission Kreshnik Radoniqi.
The preparations being made regarding the request for new elections in the north of the country, through the collection of 20% of the signatures of the voting body, as provided for in the Law on Local Self-Government and the Administrative Instruction drafted for this matter. Madam President expressed her belief that the CEC, as the institution responsible for the administration of voting, will take all appropriate actions and within the deadlines allowed for this process to be carried out, respecting the citizens’ right in accordance with the procedures and legislation in power.
