The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today in a farewell meeting the ambassador of the Republic of Austria in Kosovo, Christoph Weidinger.
At the meeting, President Osmani thanked Ambassador Weidinger for his continued efforts to strengthening of the partnership between Kosovo and Austria, his support to the expansion of cooperation in various fields through various projects and initiatives, which have brought even closer the citizens of both our countries.
The President reiterated that Austria remains an important ally of the people and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, whose support has been important at various steps of our history, as well as for the Euro-Atlantic future of our country. Madam President also spoke about the first official bilateral visit in her mandate as President of the Republic to the Republic of Austria, emphasizing that this visit was a reconfirmation of the common will to further expand the partnership between our two countries.
President Osmani and Ambassador Weidinger also discussed the political and security developments in the country and in the region, with President Osmani emphasizing the will of the institutions to overcome the current situation in coordination with the allies of our Republic.
