The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the Ombudsman of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Naim Qelaj
The main topic of the meeting was taking further steps in addressing the problems faced by the Albanian citizens of Preshevë, Bujanoc and Medvegjë. President Osmani reiterated her commitment to the promotion of the rights of the Albanians in the Presheva Valley.
President Osmani and Ombudsman Qelaj also discussed Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, as an important step in fully guaranteeing human rights for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo without distinction.
Furthermore, President Osmani congratulated the Ombudsman Institution for its membership in the European Network of Ombudspersons for Children, evaluating it as an important mechanism for the promotion and protection of children's rights.
