The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the special envoys of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Austria for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin and Johannes Eigner.
The latest developments in the country and the region, including the accordance reached on the basic agreement, the implementation plan between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia as well as security developments in the north of the Republic of Kosovo were discussed at the meeting
President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo continues to engage constructively to contribute to long-term peace in the region. In this regard, the President emphasized that the recent criminal acts in the north of the Republic of Kosovo, orchestrated by illegal structures supported by Belgrade, are aimed at intimidating and threatening of the local Serbian population, as well as creating a climate of fear and insecurity.
Irrespective of all this, President Osmani pointed out that Kosovo will continue to be fully coordinated with international allies in continuing efforts for lasting peace, security and stability while remaining committed to the implementation of law and order throughout the territory of the Republic.
Furthermore, President Osmani thanked Mr. Sarrazin and Mr. Einger for the commitment of Germany and Austria to the full integration of the Republic of Kosovo in the Euro-Atlantic institutions and emphasized that the coordination of Kosovo with allies will continue.
