The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received today the Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Xhelal Sveçla and the Director General of the Kosovo Police, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha.
The latest developments in the country, with special emphasis on the recent security situation in Kosovo, were discussed at the meeting. President Osmani thanked the Kosovo Police for their excellent and professional work, as well as their unrivaled engagement. She has once again expressed her high appreciation for the work of the hero of Kosovo, the Kosovo Police Sergeant Afrim Bunjak, who was killed by criminal and terrorist groups in the north of the country.
Security developments and Serbia’s hostile actions towards Kosovo, the work of Kosovo’s security institutions, as well as coordination with our allies and the international security presence in Kosovo were also discussed at the meeting.
President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo remains committed to peace and security in the country and the region and that the institutions of Kosovo will act in close partnership with our allies in defense of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Kosovo in the face of Serbia’s destabilizing actions against Kosovo.
