Within the framework of the Summit of La Francophonie heads of state summit in Djerba, Tunisia, the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani met with the Deputy Prime Minister as well as the Minister of State of Qatar, Mr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al Kawari, with whom she discussed further expansion of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the State of Qatar.
President Osmani appreciated the excellent relations between the two countries and praised Qatar's continuous support for Kosovo, both before and after the independence of our country.
“The people of Kosovo”, said President Osmani, “are grateful to Qatar for the cooperation and expect both countries to further expand it, opening new chapters of cooperation in energy, education, healthcare, tourism, agriculture and other fields.”
Madam President also mentioned a series of projects that can be developed as a result of cooperation, especially in the field of modern technologies and innovation, knowing that Kosovo has a very young population able to develop projects in this field.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar, Al Kawari, appreciated the cooperation so far between Kosovo and Qatar and emphasized that Qatar will always be by Kosovo's side.
He emphasized that Kosovo and Qatar are both small countries, with somewhat different histories, but with many points in common, therefore they can learn a lot from each other and also push forward common ideas, which are beneficial to both countries.
