The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, during the proceedings of the second summit of the European Political Community (EPC) in Chişinău, Moldova, held a meeting with the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz and the EU high representative for foreign policy, Josep Borrell.
The latest political and security developments in Kosovo and the region were discussed at the meeting. President Osmani reiterated that Kosovo is committed to continuing the coordination with international partners on the processes that the country is going through.
Madam President emphasized that Kosovo’s efforts to establish law and order in the north of the country are being challenged by illegal Serbian structures supported by Vucic and turned into criminal gangs, which have attacked the Kosovo Police and KFOR and are continuing with attacks on journalists and citizens.
President Osmani also stated that such actions are aimed at destabilizing Kosovo and the region and potentiated that a unique opposing stance is needed on the part of the EU states against trends that endanger peace and stability in the region.
At the meeting with President Macron and Chancellor Scholz, President Osmani reconfirmed Kosovo’s principled position on the implementation of the agreements reached in Brussels and Ohrid in their entirety.
