The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, has been honored with the prestigious “Faithful and Meritorious Medal for Service to Country” by the Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda, Sir Dr. Rodney Williams, as authorized by King Charles III.
The Head of State of Antigua and Barbuda stated that this high state medal was awarded to President Osmani in recognition of her courageous leadership, her extraordinary contribution to peace, democracy and the advancement of the role of women in leadership, as well as her unwavering commitment to strengthening international relations.
In his special address during the dinner organized last night for senior officials of the participating countries of the Forum for Women, Peace and Security, Governor General Sir Rodney Williams called President Osmani “an inspiring example of contemporary leadership and a steadfast voice for justice and equality on the international stage”.
He emphasized that: “President Osmani’s vision and integrity have transcended the borders of her country, touching the hearts and consciences of many people around the world, especially women and girls”.
President Osmani described this award as an extraordinary honor to all citizens of Kosovo.
“This award goes to my people, who have always stood with dignity and determination in defense of freedom”, declared President Osmani while receiving the Medal.
The Distinguished Official Medal for Loyal and Meritorious Service to the Fatherland represents one of the highest state awards of Antigua and Barbuda, awarded to personalities with special merits in service of their country and with a visible impact on the advancement of universal values.
