The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani taking into account the legal deadlines prescribed by the legislation in force, sent the invitations today to political subjects for consultations on the setting of the date of the snap elections for the mayors of the following municipalities: North Mitrovica, Zveçan, Leposaviq and Zubin Potok. The consultative meeting with the political subjects will be held on November 14th.
The invitation was sent following the resignations were submitted by the mayors of the municipalities of North Mitrovica, Zveçan, Leposaviq and Zubin Potok.
These resignations have been submitted to the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MAPL) on which the Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo has also been duly notified.
After consulting with the political parties, President Osmani is expected to announce the date of the holding of snap elections for the mayors of these four municipalities within legally prescribed time limits.
