The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received the Minister of Health Arben Vitia this week.
The developments and achievements in the field of healthcare throughout the year, as well as the main challenges in this sector, were discussed at the meeting.
Within the Council for Democracy and Human Rights, led by the President, several issues involving the healthcare sector have been identified, and as a consequence, the reforms that have been implemented as well as concrete plans for the following year were discussed, to prevent and combat gender-based violence.
President Osmani also spoke about the regular engagement in the direction of building new partnerships that aim to support different sectors in the country, in which case she singled out regular communications and close cooperation with many international partners to support and advance the services provided in the field of healthcare.
