The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, paid homage at the Memorial Complex in Prekaz.
President Osmani was afterwards welcomed by Uncle Rifat Jashari.
President Osmani wrote:
At the Memorial Complex in Prekaz, every step is history, every stone is a sacrifice.
During the celebrations of the KLA Epopee, we bowed respectfully to the altar of freedom, to the legendary commander Adem Jashari and to the family that gave Kosovo everything.
Their sacrifice will remain our guide in every step we take for our state and future.
Deep gratitude for the warm welcome from uncle Rifat, a symbol of the resilience and dignity of this legendary family.
A message that never fades comes from Prekaz: Freedom is not a gift, but a trust.
This legacy will live forever in the hearts of Albanians.
