The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, during her visit to Washington D.C., met with Congressman Brian Mast, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Congressman Keith Self, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe in the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Congressman Mike Lawler.
The focus of the discussions was the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Kosovo and the United States, with a focus on security, investments and advancing bilateral relations.
During the meeting with Congressman Brian Mast, President Osmani emphasized that with the administration of President Trump, we aim to deepen cooperation in various fields, including defense, strategic investments and continue the joint work to strengthen Kosovo’s international position.
At the meeting with Congressman Keith Self, President Osmani emphasized the need for continued support from the United States for stability and security in the Western Balkans. She potentiated the importance of the close partnership with the United States in fulfilling Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic goals and confronting regional security challenges.
Meanwhile, at her meeting with Congressman Mike Lawler, President Osmani emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in areas of strategic interest to strengthen bilateral relations and advance joint projects.
