President Osmani continued the meetings within the framework of the Munich Security Conference

On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani continued bilateral meetings with politicians and representatives of international organizations.

During the conference, President Osmani met with US Senator Amy Klobuchar with whom she discussed the cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States. President Osmani reaffirmed the position that the United States continues to remain the main ally and strategic partner of the Republic of Kosovo. The President also stressed that US support is vital in meeting foreign policy objectives, especially in the NATO and UN membership process.

At separate meetings, President Osmani met with the INTERPOL Secretary-General Jurgen Stock, and the Director of EUROPOL, Katherine de Bolle. The President stressed that the Republic of Kosovo has advanced its institutional efforts to ensure the rule of law and the legal state. She stated that police cooperation is a precondition for fighting crime and all its forms, especially transnational crime and organized networks. According to the President, the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo have consistently shown a high level of cooperation with all countries to ensure the rule of law, and that the rule of law remains a priority of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

During her stay in Munich, President Osmani met with Mr. David Harris, Executive Director of the Jewish-American Community, with whom she discussed relations with the United States and Israel, and the readiness of the Republic of Kosovo to further expand relations with both countries.

Madam President also met with the Chairman of the Security Conference, Wolfgang Ischinger. At this meeting, the President thanked Mr. Ischinger for his leadership in chairing the Security Conference for many years, as this was the last conference under his leadership.
