It is with deep sorrow that we received the news of the passing of Faik Rexhepi, the indestructible symbol of peaceful resistance against the Serbian regime.
Faik Rexhepi remains a name engraved in our history, a man who, in the face of violence and injustice, chose to stand unwavering, cross-legged in the middle of the road, as a powerful act of non-surrender.
His sculpture at “Zahir Pajaziti” Square is an eternal testament to his courage and to the ideal of freedom.
The memory of him and the message from the sculpture will live forever.
