The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani commemorated the Rezalla Massacre on its 24th anniversary.
On April 5th, 1999, the forces of the Serbian genocidal regime surrounded the houses of the Rezallë village and ferociously murdered 98 boys and men, residents of the Rezallë and surrounding villages. Serbian forces then committed the second fiendish crime while disposing of the dead bodies of the 44 killed. The bodies of some of the killed were found some time later in Rudnica in Rashka, in Serbia.
The Rezalla massacre once again demonstrated the typology of massacres carried out, planned and led by the Serbian state forces, whose aim was mass drive-out attacks, murders, rapes, burning and destruction of property, forced deportation and extermination of the civilian Albanian population.
Each of the civilians killed in this massacre has its own history and legacy. All these are evidence of the macabre crimes committed by Serbia in Kosovo.

We will not stop seeking justice for the victims.
May the memory of them remain eternal!
