The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has traveled to the Federation of Malaysia on an official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In Kuala Lumpur, President Osmani will be received with an official ceremony at the Bunga Raya state complex.
During this visit, President Osmani will meet with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the Perdana Putra Government Complex in Putrajaya, followed by a joint press conference.
In honor of President Osmani, Prime Minister Ibrahim will lay an official lunch at the Seri Perdana state residence.
As part of this visit, President Osmani will award the current Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim and the former Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, with Presidential Medals of Merit, in recognition of their contribution in support of Kosovo.
President Osmani, in the presence of the diplomatic corps and other guests, will officially open the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Kuala Lumpur, an important step in strengthening Kosovo’s diplomatic presence in the Southeast Asian region.
President Osmani will also hold meetings with representatives of the National Chamber of Commerce and Investment of Malaysia (NCCIM), and with representatives of important sectors of the Malaysian economy, including manufacturing, technology and tourism. On this occasion, concrete opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries and attracting investments in Kosovo will be discussed.
