The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, received a congratulatory letter from the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron.
“The new geopolitical situation created by the war and the Russian aggression on Ukraine has enticed the European Union to strengthen its political, economic and security commitment in the Western Balkans […] In this regard, I welcome the solidarity shown by Kosovo in hosting the refugees and Ukrainian journalists,” said President Macron.
Among other things, President Macron also called for the strengthening of bilateral relations and encouraged Kosovo to resolutely continue the efforts undertaken in the strengthening of the rule of law in order to facilitate European integration, stating that it can count on French support.
