President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, was received today in Dubrovnik by the President of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Ivo Josipovic, by whose invitation she is attending the Brdo-Brioni Summit.
President Jahjaga and President Josipovic discussed the necessity of regional cooperation, particularly in the field of energetic and infrastructure and economy, through building of good neighbourly relations which in turn helps the European perspective of each country.
Both Presidents emphasized that the region of western Balkans must speak in unison about the integrative processes and cooperation between countries, which helps in support of the joint regional supports by the EU.
President Jahjaga and President Josipovic stated that the European perspective of the western Balkan region must be clear and that integration shall only be achieved through building of good neighbourly relations.
President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, is participating at the third consecutive Brdo-Brioni Summit, organised this year in Dubrovnik, Croatia, hosted by the President of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Ivo Josipovic; also in attendance is the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Ms. Angela Merkel.
Brdo-Brioni Summit is a joint initiative of the Presidents of Slovenia and Croatia for the provision of help to the countries of the western Balkans region in their European integration processes.
