President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, met today in New York with the President of Slovakia, Mr. Andrej Kiska.
President Jahjaga informed President Kiska with the progress achieved by Kosovo since its independence. Madam President pointed out that Kosovo is already an international reality, recognised by 108 states worldwide, and that its statehood is irreversible.
President Jahjaga also informed President Kiska that Kosovo will continue to remain dedicated to the dialogue and implementation of agreements with Republic of Serbia, and that both countries have chosen the path of EU integrations through normalisation of mutual relations.
At the meeting with President Kiska, President Jahjaga asked Slovakia to recognize Kosovo’s statehood and to strengthen the relations between two states.
President Kiska thanked President Jahjaga for the meeting and confirmed Slovakia’s dedication to support European integration of the Western Balkans.
