The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga decreed the Law No. 05/L-008 to change and complement the Law 04/L-035 to reorganize specific enterprises and assets, approved in the plenary session of the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo, on January 19, 2015.
The intent of this law is to give the Government of the Republic of Kosovo the time and space to prevent the liquidation of Trepca – an indispensable asset of Kosovo and its citizens – and to create conditions that would facilitate the economic development of Kosovo.
President Jahjaga hopes this law will allow the government and the parliament to find longstanding and sustainable solutions for this vital asset of the Republic of Kosovo that increases prosperity for all its citizens.
