The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga condemns the unacceptable acts which caused the interruption of the proceedings of the Assembly of Kosovo for the third week in a row.
President Jahjaga said that these acts of the opposition deputies are ugly and in violation with the democratic practice and institutional behavior which we are trying to build.
President Jahjaga invites the Kosovo MPs to refrain from violence, to respect the institutions which have been built with hard work and sacrifice, including their personal sacrifice. The conceptual and political disagreements must be discussed with the force of argument and parliamentary culture.
President Jahjaga states that the citizens of Kosovo expect from their elected representatives, both in position and opposition, to advance the consolidation processes of the Republic of Kosovo, and not to turn them into spectators of tensions, crises and continuous blockades which hinder the progress of Kosovo and threaten the well-being of the citizen.
