On International Children’s Day, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani
together with the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Mr. Glauk Konjufca, have opened
the doors of the Assembly and the Presidency for dozens of children.
President Osmani said that besides sharing a part of their world with us, they also enjoyed immensely the presence of each other and the love and kindness that was felt in every corner.
During the day, President Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurt joined the “Be my shield” campaign of the HANDIKOS organization, which aims to promote the reporting of violence against children.

With drawing, music, dancing, but above all, with many smiling faces, we marked today the International Children’s Day
Together with the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Mr. Glauk Konjufca, we have opened the doors of the Assembly and the Presidency for dozens of children. Besides sharing with us a little part of their world, they immensely enjoyed each other’s presence and the love and kindness felt in every corner
Not every day is like this one for them, and also, not every child regularly experiences so much joy and happiness. Poverty among children, their social protection, investing in the increasement of the quality of education and also in the development of early education and prevention of violence against children, are issues that need our full attention. These issues will have our full attention – Children will have our full attention!
Likewise, together with Prime Minister Albin Kurti we joined the “Be my shield” campaign of the HANDIKOS organization, which aims to promote the reporting of violence against children.
We will continue with meetings, supporting campaigns and activities of this kind until drawing, music, dancing and smiling will become part of the daily life of every child in our country! This is only the beginning!
