The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Ambassador of Japan, Akira Mizutani, who congratulated her on her election at the head of the state.
Mrs. Osmani highlighted the excellent diplomatic relations between the two states and expressed her readiness and that of the institutions of Kosovo to further deepen these relations in the political, economic and cultural field. President Osmani stressed the need for the two states to also cooperate in the management of the pandemic and requested from the Ambassador to convey her appeal to the Japanese government to assist Kosovo in its efforts to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.
Likewise, Mrs. Osmani thanked the Japanese state for the recent donation of medical equipment, and for the continuous care that this state has shown for the consolidation of health care in Kosovo
Further, President Osmani reiterated Kosovo’s readiness to welcome the further incitement of Japanese companies to invest in Kosovo. In this regard, she stressed that she welcomes the possibility of organizing a joint economic forum between the two countries.
