The Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, announces that the deadline for the open call for the nomination of three members from civil society, who will be part of the Council for Democracy and Human Rights has been extended until Sunday (April 3rd, 2022).
This Council is a derivative of the commitments that the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo have taken under the framework of the first edition of the Summit for Democracy organized by the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden.
Consequently, President Vjosa Osmani has initiated the establishment of the Council for Democracy and Human Rights, which will take on the role of the mechanism responsible for guiding and ensuring the smooth running of all institutions which are directly responsible for fulfilling the commitments presented at the Summit for Democracy.
This Council will be responsible for ensuring monitoring, transparency, and accountability in fulfillment of these commitments.
