Tirana, May 08 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, was received in a meeting today by the President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, prior to the commencement of the Brdo-Brijuni Summit.
President Thaçi thanked President Meta for the organization of this Summit, which gathers all the leaders of the region, to discuss about the European future and to promote good neighborly communication among the Western Balkan states.
President Thaçi has emphasized that this Summit is a next opportunity to discuss about the neighboring relations and Euro-Atlantic integrations.
“After the Prespa Agreement between North Macedonia and Greece, we must use the momentum to resolve all disputes in the region”, stressed President Thaçi.
During the day, President Thaçi is expected to meet with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Federica Mogherini.
