Washington, February 24, 2020 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, will have a talk today with experts at the Brookings Institute, one of the most prestigious think tanks in the United States of America
President Thaçi will talk about Kosovo’s achievements in the 12 years as a state, as well as the opportunities and challenges in its aspiration to join NATO and the EU.
The Brookings Institute is one of the most influential think tanks in US politics.
President Thaçi will also speak about Washington’s irreplaceable role in reaching a final peace agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
The USA has again taken a leading role in the dialogue process, and this can be seen from the two letters President Trump has sent to President Thaçi, as well as after Ambassador Richard Grenell’s appointment as President Trump’s Special Envoy for Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
