Prishtina, May 7th 2019 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today a delegation of the state of Iowa, led by General Timothy Orr.
President Thaci said that Kosovo and Iowa, through close cooperation have already become like a family.
“We are proud of the good cooperation. All our traversing, the progress achieved, has been done in close coordination with the US, “said President Thaçi.
General Orr, who is now retiring, expressed his pleasure with the capacity building of the Kosovo Security Force and good interstate cooperation.
“Kosovo was like a second home to me,” he said.
The Iowa delegation also included a number of the Iowa University professors, who spoke of the successes achieved by the Kosovar students at that institution.
