Washington, February 26 – The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, was received today by the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, in the framework of the official visit of the President of Kosovo to Washington.
President Thaçi has expressed the deep gratitude of the people and institutions of Kosovo for the continued support of the United States of America for decades.
“You have supported us during the most difficult times and also in our best days. Our gratitude is eternal”, stated President Thaçi.
Also topic of discussion was the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
“The permanent peace agreement between Kosovo and Serbia means peace for entire Southeastern Europe, means to turn towards the future, means development and prosperity”, President Thaçi said at the meeting.
President Thaçi stated that Kosovo will continue to coordinate its every step with the United States of America.
“By moving along with Washington we have achieved our aspirations”, concluded President Thaçi.
