The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Member of
the Swiss National Council, at the same time the Chairman of the Switzerland-Kosovo
friendship group in the Swiss Parliament, Mr. Cédric Wermuth.
Congratulating Madam President on taking office, Mr. Wermuth confirmed the readiness and willingness of Switzerland to support the Republic of Kosovo in fulfilment of the reforms. Speaking in relation to the latest political developments in the country, President Osmani stated the commitment of the country's institutions to open up new chapters of cooperation with allied countries, emphasizing the excellent relations with Switzerland. She stressed that the diaspora always remains a special bond between Kosovo and Switzerland. According to her, local institutions are committed to the intensification of bilateral cooperation in all areas.
At the meeting, special emphasis was placed on managing the pandemic situation. President Osmani stated that Kosovo needs the support of its friends in order to successfully address this challenge, emphasizing support for the provision of vaccines.
