The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today at a meeting a
delegation of the European Parliament led by the rapporteur for Kosovo at the
European Parliament, Mrs. Viola von Cramon-Taubadel.
A special emphasis was placed during the meeting on the European perspective of the Republic of Kosovo, the support provided by the European Union for our country over the years and to the need to conclude the visa liberalization process for the citizens of Kosovo.
President Osmani expressed her gratitude for the positive attitude of the European Parliament in relation to the visa liberalization while emphasizing that there is a lot of potential available in order to intensify the cooperation and support of EU institutions towards Kosovo.
According to her, the new institutions of the country are ready to lead with the reforms in the fields of rule of law, creation of new jobs, investment in agriculture, and advancement of the Green Agenda. In this context President Osmani called for an increased presence and assistance from the EU, to ensure the smooth proceedings and sustainability of these processes.
The dialogue with Serbia was also discussed at the meeting, upon which President Osmani stated that this process should be concluded with recognition and that the agreements reached should impact the improvement of the lives of citizens.
