The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, Olta Xhaçka.
At the meeting, President Osmani pointed out the importance of strengthening of the cooperation between Kosovo and Albania, in the function of easing the lives of the citizens of both countries.
President Osmani and Minister Xhaçka also discussed the bolstering of coordination in foreign policy toward the strengthening of the international subjectivity of Kosovo.
In this context, President Osmani emphasized the determination of Kosovo's institutions for the Euro-Atlantic path, as well as membership in the Council of Europe and other international organizations.
Furthermore, two interlocutors also discussed the security situation in the country, the region and beyond. President Osmani said that the institutions of Kosovo continue to be fully committed to peace, security and the rule of law throughout the whole territory of the Republic.
But, according to President Osmani, Serbia's efforts are continuing in the destabilisation of Kosovo, via its illegal structures in the north of the country.
According to President Osmani, Kosovo continues to play a constructive role in the dialogue with Serbia, which should be focused on mutual recognition.
