The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in a meeting the Commander of KFOR in Kosovo, Major General Franco Federici, who congratulated her on her appointment
President Osmani expressed gratitude for the contribution of the NATO forces in Kosovo to peace and security in the region. President Osmani further emphasized the commitment of the institutions of Kosovo to fulfil the key priority in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic, regarding the provision of vaccines for all the citizens of the country.
President Osmani expressed the readiness to intensify the cooperation of the Kosovo Security Force with KFOR in the implementation of joint activities for the benefit of all the citizens of Kosovo. Likewise, President Osmani and Major General Federici discussed about encouraging the recruitment of women in security institutions in Kosovo.
President Osmani thanked the KFOR Commander for the support that NATO forces have provided to the Republic of Kosovo over the years and stressed the readiness to intensify relations with NATO and member states regarding the realization of Kosovo’s long-term strategic orientation, NATO membership.
