The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, on the eve of the International Nurses' Day, hosted today a delegation of their Trade Union Association.
Representatives of this union informed President Osmani of the situation they are currently in and seeking institutional support for their demands.
They pointed out that the increase of nurses' salaries and the increase of allowances for the night duty will be adequate measures to prevent the departure of nurses from Kosovo.
President Osmani praised the work undertaken by nurses so far in dealing with the pandemic and stressed that healthcare should be prioritized in terms of its budgeting.
On the eve of their day, President Osmani thanked the nurses for their work, expressing the need for a dignified treatment of their work.
